Mrs. Emanuel Schwob was permitted to enter into the rest that remaineth for the people of God Tuesday afternoon, March 9, 1909. She had suffered much from rheumatic affection and later from almost total paralysis and her death came to her as a gracious release from affliction. Her maiden name was Rosina Dill and she was born in Aresdorf, Canton of Basel, Switzerland, June 16, 1854, and died at her home in Wapello March 9, 1909, aged 54 years, 8 months and 23 days.

She was married to Emanuel Schwob in Burlington, Ia., April 14, 1884. To them were born two sons, Henry V. and Walter E., both of whom, with her husband, mourn her departure. The first named is employed with the father in the blacksmith shop; the latter is a student in the State University at Iowa City. She also leaves four sisters and two brothers in Switzerland. A large circle of friends also sincerely mourn the departure of this good woman. The funeral was held this afternoon at the German M. E. church, of which she was a faithful member, conducted by the pastor, Rev. F. J. Sternberg, with interment in the Wapello cemetery.
