Mr. Williams died May 25, 1886 and since that time Mrs. Williams' home had been with her daughter, Mrs. Jos. Dotson. Mrs. Williams was the mother of five children, three died in infancy, the other two survive the mother. They are Josephine W., (Mrs. Jos. Dotson), of Columbus Junction and Ward W., of Wapello.

The funeral services were held from the late home at 1 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. S. R. Drake of the christian church. Burial at Long Creek cemetery. The services at the grave were in charge of the ladies of the Rebekah lodge. Mrs. Williams was of a kind, gentle disposition and had many friends who will greatly miss her pleasant happy face.
