H. S. F. Bevans, an old and highly respected citizen of Morning Sun, died last Sunday night at the ripe age of 83 years. He was born in Ohio, March 1, 1822 and came to Iowa in 1870, settling at Morning Sun, which has since been his residence, He leaves a wife and two sons, J. J. Bevans, of this city and Lou Bevans. of Anamosa, Iowa. He was a faithful member of the Methodist church of Morning Sun and was held in the very highest esteem by all who knew him. The funeral services were held Tuesday, conducted by Rev. Adams.
