Eliard, the little son of Silas and Alta Guthrie, was born in Grandview December 26th, 1901, and died January 25th, 1904, aged 2 years and 1 month. Eliard was a bright little boy and by his manliness one would scarcely thought him so young. His sufferings while he was sick was more than he could bear, but he was patient until the Lord saw fit to remove him from his bed of suffering. Eliard will be missed in the home. His parents had built great hopes for the future when Eliard grew older. His parents are heart broken for he was the only child. Besides his father and mother he leaves a half brother, Freddie Guthrie, to mourn the loss of a loving son and brother.
