The death of Mrs. Robert Young last Friday at her home southwest of Wapello was a great surprise and shock to the friends and relatives of this estimable woman. Her death was entirely unexpected. She had been poorly for sometime, but was thought to be convalescing. The young lady who was waiting on Mrs. Young, had just been in the room a few minutes before and was requested to leave as she desired to sleep. Shortly after some lady friends called to see her, and on going to her room discovered she was dying. The deceased was aged about 34 years. Her maiden name was Nancy Owens. She was united in marriage to her husband Feb. 8th, 1893 and to them was born a daughter, now about eight years of age. Mrs. Young was a true type of womanhood, and possessed many excellent traits of character that endeared her to friends and neighbors. The funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Reusch, and interment occurred in the Rice cemetery.
