While her friends knew that her health was sadly impaired none were prepared for the sad tidings. To the husband does the death of this good wife come as an inconsolable sorrow. Ever patient and attentive during her illness, he has been happy in the thought that she who had shared in the thought that she who had shared nearly thirty years of life as his loving companion was to be spared to him for many years to come, but fate had decreed otherwise. During her illness Mrs. Hoopes expressed deep appreciation for the many acts of kindness and love which had been performed by her many friends while she lay helpless.
