Page 5The sorrowful news was received here today of the death of Mrs. Susan Letts, wife of the late Postmaster Willis H. Letts, of Columbus Junction. She died Wednesday evening at 9 o'clock, death being caused by a blood clot, which produced paralysis. The funeral services will be held from the home at 10:30 a. m. Saturday morning, interment in the Grandview cemetery.

Page 5The death last week of Mrs. Susan Letts, relict of the late Willis H. Letts, was a very sad affair. She leaves two daughters and a son, also three brothers and a sister, C. O. Lacey, of Wapello; E. R. Lacey, of Columbus Junction; Philemon Lacey, of Burlington and Mrs. Rhoda Sprauge, of Council Bluffs. The deceased was the daughter of the late E. B. Lacey, an old resident of the county. She was born at Hinckley, Ohio, in 1855 and was married to Mr. Letts in 1874. They lived on a farm in Grandview township up to a few years ago, when they removed to Columbus Junction. Mrs. Letts was a consistent member of the Presbyterian church.
