Mrs. Margaret Hayden died about eleven o'clock Monday night at the home of her son, M. T., in this city. She received a paralytic stroke last Friday evening and remained in an unconscious state up to the time of her death. The deceased had been a resident of Wapello for sometime. Her maiden name was Margaret Lancaster, and she was born in Hamilton county, Ohio, June 7th, 1825.

She lived in the county of her birth until 1850, when she came to Iowa, and two years later married Enoch Hayden, now deceased. The fruits of this union were three sons E. L. and L. D. Hayden, of Oakville, and M. T. Hayden, of this city, all of whom survive her and call her blessed. The funeral services were held from the home at 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon, conducted by Rev. W. C. Chew, interment occurring in the Wapello cemetery.
