Mrs. Eva Gates, widow of S. O. Gates, died Saturday noon at her home north of Letts in Cedar township. She was 80 years old and death was due to general debility. The funeral was held at the M. E. church this morning at 11 o'clock, the services being conducted by Rev. Pool, of Mt Pleasant and burial being in the Jayne cemetery.
