Mrs. Louisa Berkhoff departed this life Wednesday, Oct. 8th, at the ripe age of 82 years. She was born on Oct. 8, 1820 and died on her birthday. She was an old resident of this county, coming here in 1851. She has made her home for several years with her son, Wm., where she died. Her only other living child is Mrs. W. C. Williamson. Mrs. Berkhoff was a highly respected christian lady and a member of the German Lutheran church. The funeral was held last Friday at 10 a. m. from her late home, conducted by Rev. W. C. Chew, interment occurring in the Harrison cemetery.
