Balis W. Thompson died of that dread disease consumption, on last Friday. The funeral services were held at Grove Bethel church on last Sunday. The Rev. Miller assisted by Rev. Ossman officiating. The remains were laid to rest by the side of his three daughters in the Indian Creek cemetery. Mr. Thompson was a charter member of the Isaiah Dodder Post No. 446 G. A. R., who selected the pall bearers from their membership. He was 60 years, 10 months and 15 days old and was buried on his 30th wedding anniversary.
