The funeral of Mrs. G. Mallory occurred from the church in Toolsboro Wednesday at 10 a. m. Her maiden name was Susan Whittook. She was born in Terra Couple, Ind., in 1813. She was left to the care of a widowed mother by the death of her father when but a child. After the death of her mother she came to Toolesboro making her home with her sister, Mrs. Geo Mosher. She was united in marriage with Geo. Mallory June, 19, 1879. Although her health had not been good for some time her last illness, was of short duration. She accompanied her husband to Wapello less than a week previous to her death.

Her funeral was attended by a large number of friends and acquaintances of the family. She was a kind and genial neighbor, wife and mother. Twenty five years ago she joined the M. E. church. Her remains were laid to rest in the Mallory cemetery.
