Grandview - The death of Geo. W. Wagner on last Saturday evening, was a shock to the entire community. On Thursday about 5 o'clock p. m. while unloading hay at his barn, Mr. W. was handling the fork, and in pulling the hay carrier back the trigger rope broke, throwing him from the top of the load to the ground upon his head and shoulders causing injuries which resulted in his death.

Mr. Wagner's death, we have lost one of our very best citizens and a man whom every one respected. His funeral was attended by people from all parts of the county and the remains were laid to rest in the Wagner cemetery which is with in sight of his late home. Rev. Break of LeCompton, Kansas who happened to be here on a visit conducted the ceremonies.
