Grandview, May 15- Hon. N. M. Letts passed away on Sunday evening between 5 and 6 o'clock. Funeral services were held at his late residence, on Tuesday at 2 p. m. and the remains were laid to rest in the beautiful family lot in the Grandview cemetery.

N. M. Letts, whose sickness had been noted in these columns, died at his home in Grandview township at 5 o'clock Sunday afternoon. He was born in Licking county, Ohio, in 1818, and came to this county in 1854. He was three times married but all his wives preceded him to the unknown country. He leaves one child by his first, Mrs. E. F. Brockway of Washington county and five children, four sons and one daughter, by his second wife. Mr. Letts was most successful in business, accumulating a large fortune, largely in Louisa county and Texas of character and of progressive spirit. The funeral took place from the late home Tuesday at 2 p. m. and the remains were followed to the last resting place in the Grandview cemetery by one f the largest, if not the largest, procession ever witnessed in the county, attesting the esteem in which he was held by his neighbors.
