Sarah M., the wife of Levi Woodruff, at their home near Grandview, Ia. on the morning of Jany, 21st, 1894, aged 66 years and 23 days. Sarah M. Gibboney, the daughter of Benjamin and Margaret Kendall Gibboney was born in Bedford co, Pa., Dec. 29th, 1827. When quite young her parents removed with her to Ohio and in the spring of 1846 to Grandview, Iowa, where she as united in marriage to Levi Woodruff on the 8th day of June 1847. She was the mother of eleven children, 8 of whom, 3 sons and 5 daughters, are left to mourn her loss, 3 having died in infancy. The bereaved husband, one brother, one sister and nine grandchildren also survive her.

At an early age she united with the Presbyterian church at Kirksville, Licking co. Ohio, and lived a consistent Christian life until her death. She was a loving wife, a fond mother and a generous neighbor. By nature she preferred to live a very quiet and retired life, devoting herself to loving service of her family and friends. Her busy life is o'er. She is now at rest and will be remembered by what she had done. M. G. Hammill conducted the funeral services which were held at the home on Tuesday the 23d at 2 p. m. and the remains were interred in the Grandview cemetery.
