John Henry Hannon, the young man living at M. J. Diehl's, who accidentally shot himself Christmas day, died at Mr. Deihl's yesterday (Wednesday) morning at 5:30 o'clock, of lockjaw, the result of the wound. He was apparently improving under the treatment of Dr. Tustison until Tuesday morning when symptoms of lockjaw began to develop, and for twenty-four hours his sufferings, when not under the influence of an opiate, were horrible. The funeral occurs this afternoon, the remains to be interred in the Fairview cemetery. He was 21 years of age the first day of last June.
