Mr. Vongenchten who has been in poor health for some time passed away at his home in this city Monday evening at 5:30 o'clock. He was born in Bavaria, Germany, Jany 1, 1820 and was therefore in his 73d year. He had been a resident of Wapello for 20 years. He leaves a aged wife and daughter, Mrs. Geo Zewen. The funeral was Tuesday p. m. and the services were at the late home, conducted by Rev. Knchans.
