Died at the residence of S. J. Paris, Tuesday, Samuel Armstrong at the age of 87. For several years he had been making his home with Mr. and Mrs. Paris, coming there from Ohio. Mrs. Paris' mother was his sister and the old gentleman has received from his niece the kind care that his failing condition physical and mental, so much required. Mr. Wagner of Grandview embalmed the remains and they were sent yesterday morning from Letts to Greenville, Ohio, his home for interment, by the side of his brother James. He was never married and leaves a large property in Ohio to his surviving relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Paris left Tuesday evening for Greenville where the funeral services will be held.
