Page 1Today J. H. Johnston was buried. He came to this state from Tennessee about the year 1856 and settled in Columbus City township, were he has resided until his death, which occurred Sunday, June 22. He was always looked upon as one of our best citizens. He was taken with cancer about five of six years ago. It grew slowly until two years ago when he had it cut out. He was 62 years old.
