John Ronald, who has been attending school at Monmouth, Ill. died at that place of typhoid malarial fever on Thursday eve of last week, aged 17 years and 7 months. He was sick about five weeks and during the later part of that time his sister, Mrs. Lieberknecht, and aunt, Mrs. Wimler, were with him. A funeral service was held at Monmouth on Friday, which was taken part in by the college professors. On Saturday the remains were taken to Grandview, where another short service was held, conducted by Rev. Dr. Deams of the college, who came with the funeral party. It is sad indeed that a young man, just in the first flush of hope should be so suddenly taken away. It is the second death in the family within a short time.
