From the Safeguard we learn the particulars of the death of one of Louisa county's pioneers, Henry H. Mickey, Aug. 18, 1890, at the good age of 74. He came to Iowa from Westmoreland county, Pa., in the year 1835 and was married the following year to Sarah Gardner it being the first marriage solemnized in this county. He leaves nine children the youngest being Mrs. J. C. Byram of this city. For 35 years he was a member of the M. E. church and lived a quiet life on the farm near Fredonia since 1881.
