Albert Johns was drowned in Long Creek Aug. 8th in his 14th year. The United Presbyterian people were having a picnic at the creek and just after dinner he and some other boys went down to the creek a short distance to have a swim. He was the first to go in and after going a short distance stepped into a hole where the water was 15 feet deep and before he could be got at drowned. He was a boy that was very much loved by all who knew him.
