Mrs. Elizabeth Hurley died in this place last Saturday morning of live disease, general debility and old age. Had she lived until the 26th of this month she would have been 77 years of age. The deceased has been a widow twenty-six years. She was the mother of ten children, nine of whom grew to adult age and eight of whom are now living, all born in Champaign county, Ohio. Hon J. S. Hurley of this place, Dr. John Hurley of Toolsboro, Mr. A. D. Hurley and Mr. Crock Hurley, farmers of this vicinity, are her sons. The family came to this county in October 1840 and have been here all of the thirty-two years intervened. Her earthly remains were followed by a long procession to the cemetery north of town last Sunday.
