Mrs. Ben H. Curtis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Diehl, died at her home near Fowler, Colorado, Saturday morning, November 10th, four days after the birth of a baby boy. Alma Diehl was born at Columbus Junction, Iowa, March 17, 1895. She attended the local schools and took an active part in the social affairs of the community. She was united with the Reformed church in this city. On March 24th, 1915, she was united in marriage to Ben H. Curtis. The following spring they moved to a farm near Fowler, Colorado. Following the birth of a baby boy, Tuesday, November 5th, heart trouble and pneumonia developed.

She is survived by her husband and son, Robert Diehl Curtis, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Diehl, of Columbus Junction, and one sister, Mrs. Donald White, of Fresno, California. She is also survived by her grandmother, Mrs. Mary Diehl and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schlunz, also of Columbus Junction. The body was brought to this city, Monday and taken to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Diehl where funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon, by Rev. Roy Johnson.

Interment was made in the Columbus City cemetery.
