Mrs. J. J. Williams, a former resident of Muscatine, died at her home in Grandview Monday. She had been bedfast for six weeks, suffering from a complication of diseases. Mrs. Williams, formerly Miss Nancy Webster was born in Meigs county, O., in April 1838, coming to Muscatine during the civil war. The family resided at Muscatine until 184, then moving to Grandview. Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Dr. W. W. Williams, of Mystic, Ia., and H. R. Williams of Grandview; one daughter, Mrs. W. E. Schweitzer of Grandview, two sisters, Mrs. George D. Selby and Mrs. J. J. Raridan, both of Portsmouth, O. There are nine grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Methodist Episcopal church at Grandview at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon with the Rev. Vernon Pike of Keota, former Grandview pastor, officiating, burial was made in the Grandview cemetery.
