The death of Mrs. Jane Brockway a former resident of this place, occurred on Wednesday September 19, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Rhoda Tanner in Denver. Mrs. Brockway, was the daughter of William Davison a former blacksmith of this place. She was united in marriage to Emmet Brockway who preceded her in death several years ago. She is survived by three daughters and one son, Mrs. Lillian Tanner of Kansas; Miss Helen Brockway of Minneapolis, Minn.; and Mrs. Rhoda Tanner and Charles Brockway, of Denver Colo. Also a brother and sister survive, Gus Davison of West Liberty and Mrs. Blanche Masonholder of Columbus Junction. The body arrived in Conesville Saturday and funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon at the M. E. church conducted by Rev. V. A. Bloomquist with burial in the Brockway cemetery.
