Miss Minerva Todd, a resident of this community for many years, passed away at ten o'clock this morning at the home of her niece, Miss Musa Todd, on Third street. Minerva Todd was born in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, February 18, 1844 and was past seventy eight years of age. From Pittsburg she moved to New Castle, Pennsylvania, where she lived for a number of years and then came with her father, Robert Todd and her brothers and sisters to Iowa in 1851, locating at Muscatine. From Muscatine she came to the farm in Union township in this county here she made her home until five years ago she came to Columbus Junction.

Her father proceeded her in death in 1858 and her mother in 1850 and in the years which have passed since their death brothers and sisters all, have passed to their heavenly reward. She is survived by a number of nephews and nieces and a host of friends. She was a member of the Reformed church, having converted in childhood and remained devoted to its teachings. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at two o'clock at the Reformed church in this city conducted by her pastor Rev. G. A. Ingle and interment made in the Columbus City cemetery
