Page 1Funeral services for Sam Trible were held from the Church of God in Cairo Sunday afternoon at 2:30, conducted by Rev. Jess Huddle. Interment was in Cairo cemetery. Death occurred at the county farm Friday night at 8 o'clock. Samuel Webster Trible was born in Webster city, Pa., Feb. 6, 1851. He had spent most of his life in this locality. On February 16, 1876, he was married at Wapello, to Mrs. Elizabeth Watts, who died October 4, 1898. Their union was blessed with six children, two of whom, Zella and Zana, died in infancy. Those who survive are Mrs. Ed. Finley, of Morning Sun; Beverly Trible, Mrs. Louis Matthews and Mrs. Jesse Ives, all of Wapello. He also leaves two step children, Mrs. R. M. Partington, of Cairo and John Watts, of Missouri.
