Frederick A. Williams, a prominent Louisa county farmer, was born in Pennsylvania, September 27, 1868. He was the son of Owen and Eliza Williams, both of whom preceded him in death. He is survived by one brother, George M. of Rock Island, and two sisters, Florence and Mary at home. He never married but made his home with his two sisters of a farm near Cotter. Mr. Williams was a man who made many friends. He had the advantages of a higher education. He had been in poor health for several months but his condition did not become critical until a few days before his death. His mind of late was dwelling on the great ideals of life. He saw the vanity of that which is temporary and the higher worth of the Christian aim of life. He was buried beside his parents in the Ainsworth cemetery. Rev. R. D. Hughes, of Chicago, officiated at the home and the Odd Fellows of Cotter lodge at the grave.
