Fannie Gipple Wagner was born in Dauphin county Pennsylvania, and was the daughter of John and Christina (Stroh) Gipple. Mrs. Wagner came with her sister to Louisa county during the early days of its history. She died at her home in Fredonia, March 16, 1915, aged 81 years, 4 months and 15 days. She was united in marriage with Jesse Wagner, November 30, 1856, in Grandview township. Seven children were born o this union, Emma, who died in infancy, Martha, now Mrs. George; Maggie, Mrs. Lupton, who died thirteen years ago, Josephine, now Mrs. Johnston; Cynthia, now Mrs. Lee Lavina, now Mrs. James and Henry Wagner. All are living in this county. Her descendants number also twenty-eight grandchildren, eight of whom are dead, and twenty great grandchildren, three of whom are dead. She was early converted to the christian faith becoming a member of the Church of God. She was an earnest worker in the church. Her husband preceded her in death twelve years ago. The funeral service will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home in Fredonia and interment will be made at Cedar Bethel.
