Mrs. Sarah Richards, an aged resident of the Welsh Neighborhood died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Griff Jones, March 4, 1914. Sarah Owen was born in Wales about 80 years ago where she was united in marriage to David Richards who died March 20, 1898. They came to this country about 40 years ago. She was a devoted member of the Congregational church and lived for 38 years near Cotter, the past 13 of which have been spent with her daughter, Mrs. Griff Jones. She is also survived by another daughter, Mrs. Wm. E. Owen, of Red Oak and six grandchildren. Funeral services were held Friday March 6th, at 2 o'clock, at the Zion church conducted by Rev. T. P. Jenkins.
