W. C. Williamson, a veteran of the Civil war and a prominent citizen of Wapello died at his home in that city. Mr. Williamson was born in Louisa county, March 15, 1845, his father having come to Iowa in 1836. Mr. Williamson owned a finely improved farm near Wapello and the brick for the county poor house was burned on his farm. He is survived by his wife and three children of his first marriage. Funeral services were held at Wapello Thursday afternoon conducted by Rev. Froeschle.
