The entire Welsh Neighborhood and the citizens of Cotter were plunged into mourning Monday afternoon when announcement came of the death of Mrs. R. T. Jones. Dinah Davis was the daughter of Henry and Elizabeth Davis. She was born March 13, 1838, in South Wales and came with her parents to America in 1853, locating with them on a farm n Henry county. She was married February 11, 1864, to R. T. Jones and moved with him onto the Jones homestead in this county which he had at that time just purchased from the estate of his father, who died the year previously. Four children blessed this union, William O. Jones, who owns and operates the homestead farm west of this city and Harry T. Jones, who is engaged in banking business at Hartline, Washington: and two who died in infancy. She is also survived by eight grandchildren. Early in life she affiliated with the Welsh Congregational church and her life was a splendid tribute to the Master. Funeral services will be held this (Thursday) afternoon at the Zion Congregational church conducted by the Rev. T. P. Jenkins.
