Mrs. David Weaver, a prominent resident of the Gladwin Neighborhood, died January 10, 1914, after a short illness with diphteria. A son of Charles died a few weeks ago of the same dreaded disease. Alice Pine was born in West Virginia, November 26, 1855. She was united in marriage to David Weaver September 23, 1875. Five children blessed this union, four of them preceding her in death. The surviving child is her daughter, Mrs. Bessie Dabin. She is also survived by one step daughter Lillie Welsh, and by her husband and one brother and three sisters. Funeral services were held Monday morning at 10:30 at Gladwin, conducted by Rev. L. H. Smith. Interment was made in the Columbus City cemetery.
