Hannah Davies was born September 3, 1874, at the Plas homestead. Her parents were John S. and Mary Davies. The father died in May 1886, when Hannah was under 12 years of age, but her mother lived until October, 1912. She was united in the bonds of holy matrimony to the Rev. D. T. Davies, pastor of the Welsh C. M. church near Carroll, Neb. Since that time she has spent most of her time in Nebraska. Of this union two children were born, who are 3 years and 1 year old.

Last March it became evident, that her health was failing. Being unable to take care of herself and the home, she was persuaded last June to come to the old home where her nearest relatives were able to minister to her needs. At one o'clock last Christmas morning while it was yet night, she heard the angelic song beckon her home. She is survived by her beloved husband, Rev. D. T. Davies and his two sons in their young childhood, David Clarence, five years old and Everett, one year. Also three brothers and two sisters, Evan, Lydia, Hugh, John and Jennie Davies. The funeral service was held Saturday at 10 a. m. at Salem church and was conducted by Rev. Dr. Jones, of Chicago. After the remains were viewed they were taken to Cambrain cemetery.
