W. S. Kremer, one of the best known men in Louisa county, passed away at this home in Wapello, at 2 o'clock this, Thursday, morning. He was born in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., January 1, 1833 and came to Iowa while a youth. For ten years he served as treasurer of this county and until a few years ago when the office was changed he served as county surveyor. At different times he was also a member of the Wapello city council and served as mayor of the city. He is survived by the following children Clarence and Dale of this county, Guy of Denver, Mrs. H. Limbocker of this county and Kate, Pearl and Glenn at home. His wife died in 1890.
