The announcement last evening of the death of Mrs. Ella Hendrickson at the home of her parents on South Hill at 7:30 o'clock brought sadness to every heart in this city. Ella M. Duncan was born near this city, August 15, 1873 and died January 22, 1913. Though physically handicapped since a child, she entered the local school when her parents moved to this city and by diligent effort she graduated with the class of 1897. She assisted in the local telephone offices and May 1, 1906, she was married by Rev. Chas. Dyke to T. W. Hendrickson, the well known auctioneer of this city. She was a consistent member of the church of the Latter Day Saints, living at all times, a true upright Christian life.

She is survived by her husband, T. W. Hendrickson and several step children and by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. F. Duncan and two sisters, Mrs. Ollie Shearer of Salina, Kan., and Mrs. Viola Wilcox of Ainsworth. She is also survived by two nieces Alma Jane Shearer and Olive Wilcox, and one nephew, Harry Cobb. Funeral services will be held at the home of her parents, Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock and will be conducted by Rev. Chas, Dyke of Muscatine. Interment will be made in the Columbus City cemetery.
