Wapello, April 9 -James Malcom Walker was born in Scotland, February 6, 1846 and died at his home in Wapello, Saturday night, April 6, 1907, aged 61 years and two months. Mr. Walker was only sick four or five days, with pneumonia and his death was a shock to all. He was a prominent member of the Christian church, an honest, honorable and most upright gentleman, splendid citizen and noble husband and father. He will be greatly missed in this community and will be mourned by all our good people. Of his immediate family there survives his wife and three daughters to whom the sympathy of the entire community is sincerely tendered. The funeral obsequies occurred at the home on Tuesday afternoon, conducted by Revs. Charles Blanchard and J. P. Hohner.
