After two years of intense suffering, Otto G. Schabilion quietly passed away at his home in Columbus City, Tuesday afternoon, October 31, 1905. Mr. Schabilion was born in Germany November 1, 1856. When a mere lad, be came to America. Twenty-six years ago he was married to Miss D. A. Rawbauser, daughter of Rev. Joel Rawbauser, of Columbus City township. Eight children, with the widowed mother survive to mourn their great loss. These are Carl, Flora, Sybil, Alpheus, Harold, Clark, Dessa and Lester, ranging in ages from a few years to the age of twenty-five. All are unmarried and all are at home.

Mr. Schabilion was a consistent member of the U. B. church and the funeral service will be held from that church tomorrow, Friday, November 3, at 10:30 o'clock, conducted by his pastor, Rev. William Ballard. He will be buried in the Columbus City cemetery. All the family were at his bedside except the eldest daughter, who is teaching school in Elliot township, who endeavored to drive over from Morning Sun, but arrived too late.
