Dorothy S., youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ottie DeVore was born May 5, 1899 and died August 24, 1905 after an illness of only a few hours of spinal meningitis, aged 6 years, 3 months 19 days. The funeral was held from ? church Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock. The services being conducted by Rev. Ballard, of Columbus City. Four young girls acted as pall bearers. They were preceded by eight of Dorothy's little girl friends carrying flowers. She leaves besides her heartbroken father and mother, two brothers, one sister and a host of relatives and friends to mourn her loss.
