Catnip Ridge, July 25- A peculiar and very sad accident last Friday afternoon. The little child of Mr. and Mrs. Stockley, in running in the yard. accidentally fell, face downwards into an old dish pan full of half slacked lime. She was rescued in a few minutes and two doctors sent for, but in less than thirty-six hours, the little one was gone to the Great Beyond, having inhaled too much of the lime dust and poisonous vapor as revealed by a postmortem examination. The child, with its mamma and two other children have been here on a visit with friends for a few weeks. They had been visiting at the place where the accident happened but a few hours. The father was telephoned for, but did not arrive until the little one was dead. the parents are prostrated with grief. The little darling was not quite three years old. The funeral services were held Sunday afternoon conducted by Rev. Boise; interment in Swank cemetery.
