Charlie Armbright, oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Armbright, passed away at the home of his parents at this place last Friday, April 14, after an illness of six weeks of typhoid pneumonia. His sufferings were great and he made a brave struggle for life, but the disease had taken too firm hold and could not be shaken off.

Charles Cassius Armbright was born in Vermont, August 12, 1870 and came to Sibley, Iowa when five years of age. While he was yet a young boy, the family removed to Columbus Junction and this has been his home ever since. In June, 1903, he was married to Miss Edith Edmondson, also of this place and to them was born a daughter, who with the wife, parents, two brothers and four sisters, survive to mourn his early and untimely death.

The surviving brothers and sisters are Henry and Paul of Columbus Junction, Mrs. Lizzie Mattert of Sibley, Mrs. Bertha Davis of Wapello and Orleana and Marie at home. The funeral was held at the Presbyterian church Sunday afternoon and the house was full, it being one of the largest funerals ever held in Columbus Junction. Rev. Kendrick of the Methodist church preached the sermon and Rev. Vance of the Presbyterian church assisted in the service. The pall bearers were Frank Paxton, Harley Meeker, Percy Mayne, John Singleton, Ed Hanft and Ed Davis. The fire company, of which he had been a member, attended as a body.
