The death of Mrs. A. D. Acheson, well known in this vicinity, at her home in Ainsworth, Thursday, was a very sudden one. Her friends here, few of them, knew of her sickness until the announcement of her death. She was a daughter of the late A. J. Duncan and was reared near Columbus City. She was a sister of W. A. Duncan and of Mmes K. R. Robertson and T. Lee Duncan. The funeral was held from the U. P church in Ainsworth, Saturday afternoon, conducted by Rev. A. S. Bailey and an immense crowd of friends and neighbors attested the universal esteem in which she was held. She was a noble, good woman; one who will long be missed in the community. Besides the relatives mentioned, she leaves an aged mother to mourn with them. She was the mother of four children, Mrs. C. N. Johnston, of this place, deceased Mrs. Nellie Clegg and the sons, W. E. and R. Acheson, now living on the old homestead near Ainsworth.
