Miss Mattie Swan died at the Burlington hospital Monday night. The body arrived at Morning Sun at 10:15 Tuesday. The hour has not been appointed for the funeral

Morning Sun, February 21- The funeral services of Miss Mattie Swan were held at the home on Thursday, conducted by her pastor, Rev. Mackay. Mattie was a bright, intelligent girl. She was a member of the Presbyterian church, also one of the choir and organist for the C. E. society meetings. Everything was done to save the bright young life but medical skill availed nothing. Her classmates were her pall bearers, Miss Rose Wright, Nellie Shipman, Susie Paisley, Eva Lee, Veda Maxson and Kathryn Marshall. The father, mother, three sisters and one brother are left to mourn the loss of a loving daughter and sister.
