Cotter, December 6 - Death has once more cast its gloom around us and taken from our midst Mr. David Evans. He was only sick a few days and passed away about 9 o'clock Monday morning. He leaves a wife and two children, Mrs. Elias Williams and Tommy Evans of Carroll, Nebr. They were all with him at the time of his death.

Page 7 - The death of this aged and respected citizen occurred at his home in the Welsh neighborhood about 9 o'clock Monday morning, after an illness of about two weeks. He was a native of Wales boro in that country more than eighty years ago and had long lived in the neighborhood where he passed away. He leaves a wife, one son Thomas, of Carroll, Nebr., and one daughter, Mrs. Elias Williams, of Crawfordsville to mourn his death. The funeral services were conducted on Tuesday afternoon at the Welsh church by Rev. Roberts assisted by Rev. Lloyd Williams of Oskaloosa and Rev. Jones of the Salem church.
