Joseph Kramer, Sr. was born May 25, 1813 in Cumberland county, Pennsylvania and died October 28, 1904 in Mt. Pleasant, aged 91 years, 5 months and three days. He was married to Barbara Lininger, December 14, 1835. To this union were born seven children, four sons and three daughters. Mrs. Kramer departed this life on June 8, 1878 and he was again married to Mary E. Gilbert, August 20, 1882, whose death occured in the year 1896. Since that time he has made his home with his son Joseph. Mr. Kramer is survived by five children, twenty-five grandchildren and thirty-three great grandchildren. The funeral was held at the home of his son in Winfield, conducted by Rev. Wood, of Grandview. Interment at the Cairo cemetery.
