The community was saddened to learn the of death of Mrs. Eleanore Shellabarger which occurred at her late home Thursday, October 13. Her death, though not altogether unexpected, still comes as a blow and a severe loss to her many friends. Maggie Litterel Shellabarger was born April 6, 1885 and died October 13, 1904, at the age of nineteen years. She was married July 4, 1902 to E. U. Shellabarger, who, with her mother, brothers and sister and a great many friends mourn her loss. The funeral services were held at Pleasant Grove Bethel church Saturday, conducted by the pastor, Rev. Chamberlin. The Rebecca Lodge of Columbus Junction, of which she was a faithful member, attended in a body and had charge of the service at the cemetery.
