Miss Adaline Gilleland died Wednesday, August 24, at the home of her nephew, J. W. Isett. She had been an invalid for a number of years. She will be remembered as one of the very early settlers at Wapello. The funeral was held at Cairo, Thursday afternoon, conducted by Rev. J. R. Vance, pastor of the Presbyterian church at Columbus Junction.
