page 7William Hill Harper died at 2:30 o'clock, Tuesday morning, June 7, 1904. He was born May 9, 1836 in Champaign county, Ohio and there he was married on February 12, 1860 to Miss Dycie Idle, who with three daughters, Mrs. Minn McCullough, Mrs. Nannie Nelson and Mrs. Julia Thomas, and eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren, survive him. Mr. Harper had suffered a long while and intensely. He was devoted to his wife and children. He arranged his business and gave direction concerning his funeral and burial. The funeral services were held from the Methodist church Thursday morning, June 9th, and all that mortal of the husband, father and friend was laid to rest in a vault in the Conesville cemetery. Rev. Alexander Telfer, of Salem, Iowa, a personal friend of the family and former beloved pastor of the church preached the service.
