Mrs. F. M. Baldwin died at the family residence on the North Jefferson street, Monday morning, 5:45 o'clock, after an illness of less than two hours, at the age of 61 years, 9 months and 5 days. Mrs. Baldwin was in her usual health Sunday, and attended church. During the evening she played with her grandchildren and retired in the best of spirits and seemingly in the best of health. She slept well during the night, but at daybreak awoke and informed her husband that she was sick. Mr. Baldwin hastened to call a physician, who responded quickly. At 5:45 o'clock, however, she passed suddenly away. The cause of death is stated to be heart failure.

Mrs. Baldwin was born near While Hall, August 31, 1842, and has spent most of her life in this state. Besides her husband, Mr. B. F. Baldwin, of the Baldwin & Weir Lumber Company, she leaves one son, Mr. E. Baldwin, of this city, one sister, Mrs. John A. Beatty , of Waverly and two brothers, Wm. P. Smith, of Lowder, Sagamon county, and Frank Smith of Manchester; Greene county. The funeral services were held at he First M. E. church, Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. J. N. Eason officiating. The remains were interred at Elmwood cemetery.
